- According to UNICEF data, around 100,000 children below 18th years old are sold in Indonesia. 70% of them are exploited sexually and becomes prostituted.
- According to UN Convention on Children Rights, children below 18th years old has to be protected their right for safety and education. The Convention is also asked to protect the children from trafficking and prostitution,
- Indonesia has the Law of Anti Trafficking, but has not signed the optional protocol yet, on children to protect from trafficking
- Sex trafficking is affecting millions of children every year, and yet it is receiving very little attention from governments, media, corporations, and the public.
- Our campaign focuses on the trafficking of children and young people (under 18 years old), because they are more vulnerable to exploitation than adults.
